Focusing on the Highlights in Latest Trial of Cases regarding Environmental Sources

On January 14, 2020, Supreme People's Court held a press conference to release the 22nd to 24th batches of Guiding Cases. The 24th batch of Guiding Cases, altogether 13 cases, are all belong to environmental sources cases, which collectively show the results of the environmental resources judicial work of the People's Courts and condense the highlights of environmental resources trial development in China.
 
Among 13 cases, from the perspective of litigation patterns, they include private interest litigation, public interest litigation and ecological and environmental damages litigation; in terms of liability manners, they involve criminal liability, civil liability, administrative responsibility and combination of three manners; in light of object of protection, they cover environmental elements and natural resources like atmosphere, water, soil, mining industry, forestry, fishery, which contain environmental pollution, ecological damage etc. All these cases have distinctive characteristics and high recognition.
