On October 19^th, 2020, "Remembering the Great Victory and Defending Peace and Justice-Thematic Exhibition Commemorating the 70^th Anniversary of the Chinese People's Volunteers' Fighting Abroad to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea" opened at the Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution. On this day 70 years ago, the Chinese People's Volunteers marched to the front lines of North Korea and opened the prelude to "Resisting U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea to defend the country."

 

On November 20^th, 2020, all party members of Beijing Jin Rui Law Offices came to the Military Museum to look back on this unforgettable history and listen to the echoes of history. Lawyers who visited the museum deeply felt the lofty patriotism and resolute national integrity of the volunteers and heroes. They all expressed that they would remember history, cherish peace, work hard, forge ahead, and bravely shoulder the mission of the era of national rejuvenation!

 

Through visiting this exhibition, we realized once again how difficult it was for the first generation of leaders to make the decision to go abroad to participate in the war when New China was just being built, and it was very difficult for the Chinese People's Volunteers to make logistical supplies, weapons and equipment. Under difficult circumstances, through arduous battles, the United Nations forces headed by the US military were forced to retreat to the 38^th line. They are the loveliest people and the fighting heroes who have the spirit of seeing death at home. As Chairman Mao said, we defeated the U.S. military because there was less steel and more guts, and they had more steel and less guts. The great War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea gave the world a new understanding of New China and established New China as a major power. The Chinese people love peace and are not afraid of power. To maintain peace, we never fear war. This battle enhanced our country's international status, provided our country with a peaceful and secure development environment, and laid a solid foundation for our current good life.

 

For 70 years, the great spirit of resisting U.S. aggression and aiding Korea has always been the precious spiritual wealth of the Chinese people, inspiring the Chinese people to forge ahead despite sacrifices. At present, the world is undergoing major changes unseen in a century. The great struggle, great projects, great undertakings, and great dreams led by our party are in full swing. The tasks of reform, development and stability are hard and arduous. We faced rare historical opportunities as well as a series of major risk tests.
